Items you'll need:
mod podge
paint brush
tissue paper in assorted colors (your choice!)
scissors
pen pal kid card & envelope
Directions:
Choose 2-3 different colored tissue paper and cut into 1-1.5 inch strips.
Gather all the strips and cut into smaller cubes (does not need to be perfect).
Choose a blank space of the card (outside or inside).
Paint a thin layer of mod podge over chosen side.
Before it dries, have your child place the tissue paper squares on the paper. Try to cover all of the white spaces with tissue paper. Get creative and do not be afraid to overlap!
Once complete, paint another thin layer of mod podge over the top to secure the tissue paper.
Let the card completely dry and have your child write a message + decorate the rest of the card.
Seal the envelope with one of our special stickers & send!
My daughter and I used to do this to tissue paper activity on canvas, pumpkins, journals and many more art projects. Mod podge is so fun to work with especially because it dries clear. I hope you and your kiddos enjoy this fun and simple activity!
Side note: you can purchase tissue paper that have already been cut. I had so much tissue paper at home that I just decided to cut them myself. You can also cut them into different shapes and sizes! Whatever works for you~
