I am very excited about our new holiday card set! I had to get a bit creative and also get input from Dani to make this set. I knew I wanted to do something special that is a little different than our original pen pal kits. I drew a few samples of what I envisioned on the front. The 3 designs we used are the ones that Dani approved of! She said "I want to color those ones". That is all I needed to hear. The mini colored pencils are a cute touch to have your child start coloring, but they are free to use whatever they would like.
I wanted the envelopes to be festive, but not to in your face with bright green or red. Sage was a color that seemed to be pleasing to the eye, but also fun to use for Christmas. Of course we have to include stickers to seal the letters! The green Christmas stickers are a great touch to finish off the special message + artwork for your family or friend.
My hope in creating this set is that children will want to write and send a meaningful message to family and friends this holiday season. Even if it is a short note, including a reminder of how much you appreciate someone is a great way to spread holiday cheer.
These cards are also thick and will be great as keepsakes. It has always been an issuse for us to keep letters that comes on construction paper or white paper that is very thin. These beautiful cards will last! I hope that our kits will still ultimately be a way to have your kids get in the habit of writing.
